History of the Ghost Tours
The ghost tour originally start in 1997 after Ed Nicholls of Gemini Travel visited Derby and went on the Derby Ghost walk. The Derby tour, guided by Richard Felix, impressed Ed who told Richard so, and said, "Ipswich needs something like this" to which Richard replied "well go and do it then!" the rest as they say is history.
The Ghost Tours are a way to get people to look at Ipswich in a different light. People who are not that interested in the history of their home town may become interested after going on the tour.
Along with Ed, the Ghost walks are led by Pete Jennings, a well-known broadcaster, writer and folklorist.
The Ghost Tour is intended to be a fun and informative way to see Ipswich. We can almost guarantee that there will be parts of Ipswich that people really wont know existed!
